Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Paralyzer

So Patty brought over a weird bottle of wine from Germany in a cat bottle. She was quite excited about it. She got me primed on cat wine and then casually mentioned that we hadn't posted a paralyzer blog in about a decade. Time to mix our booze! I dug to the depths of my booze tickle trunk and settled on a bottle of Creme de Cacao and Fragoli (strawberry liqueur). So I selected the ingredients, I poured a delicious concoction of ingredients, and I named it. Now Miss Patty will entertain you with some words...

Wow.  After an introduction like that I have big shoes to fill.

This paralyzer is amazing.  I love it.

1 ounce Fragoli

1 ounce Creme de Cacao

Fill to halfway mark with milk 

 top with Coke Zero 

Garnish with crushed chocolate and cinnamon 

The sweet taste of chocolate covered strawberries is delectable and prominent in this drink. It pairs nicely with nothing. I recommend that you drink this alone and follow it with another of the same. 

Poured carefully, you can layer the boozes and create drinkable art. Be proud of your pour.  

For those of you curious about the cat wine, well it's a lovely white wine from Moselland Wine Company.  It tastes like apples. 

It comes in this Devine collectors bottle.  I think it would look great in a window sill.

1/2 oz Creme de menthe

milk (top up your class until it's 3/4 full)

sprite 

This delicious paralyzer reminds us of a mint aero bar. 

Or maybe a shamrock shake. 

Try the Leprechaun Twist (yeah now we are just making shit up)

It's seriously delicious. 

You might find that it is hard to stop sipping this drink. 

You might want to continue to drink until the glass is empty. 

You will want to have another one

It is that good.

Cheers to the new year and our second blog post of the year.   Gosh, we are not so good at this.  Or maybe we are.  It's a sign we are drinking less and working more.   Or maybe it is just a sign that it is getting harder to find new drink combinations.


The most exciting part of this blog post is Patty's new glasses....check them out!!!





 NEW Rednek margarita glasses. The best birthday present from Glennis.   The box says I'm gonna make all my friends jealous with the Original Redneck Margarita Glass...perfect for tailgates, shindigs and weddins. (Really....that is exactly what the box says)  Use your lid so you  don't spill yer drink...and to keep them flies out.       Well in these parts, we got wasp-ps-ps-s, and these um lids are goin be great for campin.

So back to the drink. This is a tasty combination that tastes like a banana split.   The banana is smooth and the cherry coke adds a hint of goodness.

But since then, we've tried a combination of peach and banana....whipped and cherry coke...whipped and vanilla coke...what are we blogging about here?   Heh, have you listened to the you tube video about the goats yelling during the songs? Try this one out...
Taylor Swift is trouble

Oh that's a god one heh? Well there is nothing like dancing around the kitchen to the Harlem Shake.

Wow, and cool down. Stretch up, look right, breathe in....breathe out.

So we (as in G and P) haven't seen each other for over three weeks so it's a celebration.  Celllll-a-brrrraaaatttteeeeee good times come on.   I guess that should have been a video link too heh? Come on, sing it out loud...surely it sounds just like the song.

And one last time, we bring it back to the drink of the night for a round up.  Only trouble is, we can't recall how that recipe tasted.  It was ok, you should try it.  And then move on to Whipped Vodka - because it is still our favorite!!!

1/2 oz Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

1 oz coke

hot chocolate made with Milk

Pour the booze and coke into your mug and then slowly add the Hot chocolate.  

Stir and Enjoy!

We were not sure how the hot milk was going to mix with this drink, but it worked...no lumps! 

And it was delicious...so delicious that we finished our drink before we finished this post.

To make this drink extra delicious, Glennis had some delectable sugar & vanilla sprinkles that we put on top.  This added just enough pizazz to class up our drinks.  

This is perfect for those times that you want that over priced coffee look and taste at prices that allow you to drink more than just one!

Good Booze Gone Bad

It's Spooktacular!  The drinks, the laughs, the fun...of Halloween

Great booze, helps to create great stories, famous new quotes, and life moments to regret later on.
This years' Halloween Party promised to bring just that.

The night started off with well dressed folk, full glasses, and lots of smiles. And finished with costumes falling apart or coming off, empty bottles of booze and lots of great dancing and karaoke.

I went under cover, taking notes at the party, tracking the progression of "good booze gone bad". The objective, was to sit back and listen to the conversation....taking note of all the things that people say that another person could take out of context? You know those things that just make you giggle until you pee, or fall on the floor and cry yourself to tears.  The times when you want to type LMFAO. Unfortunately, we didn't have as many of those moments as I was hoping for, but we had some good ones.  This group just removed the "filter" and had some interesting conversation topics.

Before you read any further, please raise your right hand in the air and repeat after me...."I am over the age of 19, old enough to buy my own drink in the bar and promise to not read the following out loud when a minor is present."  (We are Mom's you know....we have to keep this respectful.)

So here it is, the quotes you've been waiting for, in order as the night progressed. I'm sure the quotes will be funnier to those that where there...can you guess who said what?

Remember that these quotes were in time order and not necessarily from the same conversation...in fact I don't think any two were from the same conversation.

Yikes, well now that I've read those over....I wonder what the heck kinda party I was at.  It was all clean fun.   Which reminds me of the conversation I heard in the liquor store the other day between two guys talking about their high school girl friend.....rotten rotten rotten language.  We are obviously older, wiser and a bit more cautious with our words (as duly noted above).

The overall consensus is that it was a fabulous Party! A great time was had by all and I'm sure the clean up could prove to that. Looking forward to trying it again next year.
